My CB Story

Hello. My location is in Banting, Selangor. It is located at Peninsular Malaysia on the west side and approximately 50 KM from Kuala Lumpur City, Malaysia.
About my QTH, it is a village and it is near by a beach. It’s very peacefully and I just like it.
My Previous call in CB was 113MB241. It is a group of local CB in Malaysia. I was started on 11 meters around 1 year ago. I was introduced to CB by friend of mine, 9W2OO and 9W2BJL.
My equipment during started in CB was ICOM IC-718 with AT-180 automatic tuner. I'm using 3 element directional Yagi and open dipole as the antenna. About 3 month after that I'm purchased a Galaxy 959.
For information, I'm started with this hobby since 2004. At that time I'm just exposed to 2 meters and just using a handy for TX and RX. I've been stop for while with hobby because of busy with working at that time.
On 2008, I started back with 2 meters. I was setup the 2 meters on mobile and base station. The best thing about this hobby is, you can have a lot of friend and being introduced with CB.
For the moment my DXCC is 6 including Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and Papua New Guinea. It is limited for me because of my routine work now. I have to travel along South East Asia for duty.
The best thing about CB is the thrill in it. You want to get contact as much as you can and as far as you can. It will end up with doing some experiment on your setup basically your radio, antenna, and etc. Plus with you can get contact with new friend from other places and shared about the shack and others.
About my other hobbies is, I like jungle trekking, 4x4 off road, martial art, photo shooting, and music’s.

Radio Jaluran Rakyat
